A Mysterious Mobile Mass
A Case Discussion
Presentation
This geriatric patient arrived to the hospital with preexisting atrial fibrillation and a new onset of tachyarrhythmia. The clinical team noted that the patient was already receiving anticoagulation therapy upon admission and had recently been diagnosed with bronchial carcinoma with metastasis to adjacent lymph nodes.
The transthoracic echocardiogram performed two months prior was completely normal but this exam showed otherwise. We will walk through TTE, TEE, and 4D images that investigate this unique finding and discuss all the potential differential diagnoses.
